How to Create Your First Post in Squirrly Social

Ready to start sharing content? Here’s how you can create your first post using Squirrly Social.

Step 1: Click “Create a New Post”

At the top of your Dashboard, click on “Create a New Post.”

Step 2: Choose Where to Create the Post

You can create a post in two ways:

• In the Calendar – You choose the exact date and time when the post will be published.
• In a Post Group – The post will follow the schedule settings already defined for that group.

Creating a Post in the Calendar

1. Select the social media profiles where you want to publish. You can choose multiple profiles at once.

2. Add an image and write your caption. You can include:

• Emojis
• Shortened URLs (automatically shortened)

3. Choose to:

• Send now, or
• Schedule it by activating the “Schedule” toggle, then selecting the date and time.

📂 Creating a Post in a Post Group

1. Add your image and caption (emojis and URL shortening supported).

2. Choose:

• The Post Group where you want to save it.
• The status: either Drafted or Approved.

3. Click “Save Post.”

Your post will be published based on the schedule and social media profiles configured for that Post Group.

Other Ways to Create New Posts in Squirrly Social

1. Using the Post Calendar Tab

The Post Calendar gives you a visual overview of your publishing schedule.

To create a post, click the “+Post” button on any current or future date.

The same post creation panel will open, with all options available (profiles, image, caption, schedule).

2. Using the Post Groups Tab

If you don’t have any posts in Drafts, you’ll see a “Create a New Post” button directly inside the Post Groups tab.

Clicking it will open the post creation panel, just like in the Calendar tab.

3. Using the Social Media Assistant

Access the Social Media Assistant from the left-side menu.

Enter what you’re searching for, select:

• Time range
• Country
• Language

Click Search.

Once you find a post you like:

1. Select the Post Group you want to add it to.

2. Click “Add to”.

The post will be added to that Post Group and scheduled according to its settings.
