How to Organize Your Media Files in the Media Library
Accessing the Media Library
- Open the Media Library from the left-side menu in your Squirrly Social dashboard.
Organizing Your Media Files
The Media Library helps you keep all your images in one place, making it easy to add new files and organize them into folders.
Here are some common ways to organize your media:
- By post category (e.g., News, Inspiration, Blog Articles)
- By brand assets (e.g., logos)
- By marketing campaigns to keep related images together
This way, you’ll always know where to find your media when creating posts.
Creating New Folders and Subfolders
- Click on the gear icon next to “My Media” at the top of the Media Library panel.
- Select “Add Subfolder.”
- Name your new folder and click “Add.”
- Your new folder will appear under My Media on the left side.
Managing Folders
The folder settings (gear icon) also allow you to:
- Add subfolders
- Rename folders
- Delete folders
Adding Images to Folders
You can add images to folders in two ways:
- Upload directly into a folder:
- Click the folder you want to add images to.
- Click “Drop files or tap to upload” to upload your images directly there.
- Move images after uploading:
- Upload images using “Drop files or tap to upload” without selecting a folder first.
- Select the image(s) you want to move.
- On the right panel, find the “Move to folder” dropdown.
- Choose the target folder and click the Move file icon.
